Just thought I would take some time to let you know about the gorgeous food that we ate in St. Ives. This is such an important part of our visits to Cornwall, sitting in Cafes and restaurants, whiling away the time and chatting- I love it.

The Blue Fish
P had: Panfried Megrim Sole with a white wine sauce
I had: Sea Bass with a crab crust and red pepper coulis (the coulis was gorgeous and the fish was really lovely, esp the crab)
Onshore
P had: Rocket and Olive Pizza
I had: Roast vegetable Pizza
And we shared a starter of Chargrilled Mackerel fillets which were fantastic.
The Wave
P had: Pan fried Halibut on baby fennel and leeks with a saffron and smoked haddock chowder
I had: Grilled John Dory, with roasted artichoke mash, chargrilled asparagus with vanilla and lime butter (this came with chopped tomatoes and flat leaf parsley.
This feast was followed by the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. Mango and Passion fruit.
